  •  HISTOLOGY POSITION IN BEAUTIFUL MONTEREY, CA
    Must meet CLIA grossing regulations and are HT or HTL certified.

    GI experience preferred, but we will train a knowledgeable and willing candidate. We insist on quality embedding and microtomy skills. Duties to include (but not limited to): grossing, embedding, microtomy, limited manual special stains, manual coverslipping, general histology and histology related clerical duties, accessioning, and data entry .
    The right candidate is reliable, self-motivated, articulate, and well versed with anatomy identifications. Must be adept with Microsoft, Excel, and possess excellent keyboarding skills.
    This job is full-time days, Monday through Friday with NO WEEKEND’s and no travel. We offer a benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick accrual and a profit sharing 401K plan. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

  • Position in a new dermatopathology laboratory.
    Responsibilities:
    Embeds specimens
    Routine microtomy, cuts and mounts paraffin sections onto microscopic slides
    Prepares slides for routine H & E and special stain procedures
    Cover slips and route slides and protocols to pathologists
    Performs and documents scheduled preventative maintenance
    Files paraffin blocks and microscopic slides
    Maintains records and documentation required to manage the daily workflow and provide QC/QA monitors
    Must be able to troubleshoot areas of processing, embedding, cutting, staining
    Must have the capability of flexing schedule to accommodate workload
    Performs and documents scheduled preventative maintenance
    Immunohistochemistry send out, and special stains
    Grossing dermatology specimens


    Required – High school graduate or equivalent. An Associates or Bachelor degree in Science. HT Certification or HT certification eligible and one year of experience in
